Census Data is collected every 5 years by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government department. The data collected contains a wide variety of topics including Age, Income, Ethnicity, Dwelling type, Family type etc It is therefore the most accurate way to map, plot or analyise the demography of the general population of Australia.

This data can be purchased and used either in conjunction with your own data, or on its own to provide your business with a greater understanding of the general public with which it is dealing. HOW CENSUS DATA CAN BE USED

Census data can be used on maps,as graphs and tables behind designated areas.
It can also be mapped on its own for demographic observations of the data.
As it comes in ASCII Text (CSV) format it is easily converted into most database and spreadsheet packages.

AVAILABLE DEMOGRAPHY

Census data can be purchased for either a single state, multiple states or Nationally. Different States have more postcodes than others, and as it is sold by postcode, the more populous states contain more data.

DATA FORMAT

Census data is supplied in a Comma Separated Variable (CSV text) format, this can be easily converted into a readable format for all of the large commercial database and spreadsheet packages.

PRICING

The pricing of Census Data depends on the number of "cells" you purchase. The number of cells is calculated, by multiplying the number of postcodes in the state(s) required by the number of cells in the table. A table for a single state can range between $35 and $315, whereas that same tables for the National data can cost between $68 and $557.
